    BACK TO THE ROOTS OF THE SAFARI TRADITION<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

    Mobile safaris<\/strong>, and more specifically camping mobile safaris,\u00a0are undoubtedly<\/strong>\u00a0the most traditional way of exploring Southern Africa<\/strong>. Traveling in a small group, on a 4×4,\u00a0moving camps as you proceed across remote regions, sleeping under a dome canvas tent in wild areas left entirely untouched<\/strong>, with no infrastructures or facilities. And unprecedentedly welcoming hosts calling these mind-blowing destinations \u201chome\u201d, taking you by the hand, sharing their knowledge and their culture, until\u00a0you can almost feel that you\u2019ve touched the heart of Africa<\/strong>.<\/p>

    • Travelers have the\u00a0choice between three styles of safari<\/strong>:\u00a0semi participation camping <\/strong>safaris,\u00a0fully serviced camping <\/strong>safaris and\u00a0accommodated<\/strong>\u00a0safaris. Each tour accepts a minimum of 4 to maximum of 8 guests depending on the type of safari chosen<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>

      The accommodation used during these tours will therefore be:<\/p>

      • In the Okavango Delta Panhandle: Nxamasere or similar<\/li>
      • In Maun: Maun Lodge or similar<\/li>
      • In Moremi\/Khwai: Khwai Guest House<\/li>
      • In Savuti: SKL or similar<\/li>
      • In Kasane: The Old House or similar<\/li>
      • In Victoria Falls: Zambia(Maramba river lodge) or similar<\/li><\/ul>

        Fish eagle Accommodated Safari<\/strong><\/p>

        • Nxamasere: mokoro excursions, possible nature walks<\/li>
        • Khwai: game drives<\/li>

        • Kasane: game drive, boat cruise<\/li><\/ul>

          For the Fish eagle Accommodated Safari\u00a0<\/strong>transfers between lodges are done with a game viewer. For game viewing we use own vehicles, except for other activities like boats, canoes, etc. whereby activities are done by the lodges where we stay.<\/p>

          The Khwai section is entirely done (from Maun proceeding to Savuti located in Chobe National park) with one of our Okavango exploration Safaris custom-built game viewers:<\/p>

          • canvas roof and front windscreen can unfold.<\/li><\/ul>

            There are three rows at the back that could easily fit 9 pax but we limit the maximum to 7 guests for Accommodated Safaris offering great comfort and viewing opportunities.<\/p>

            • We have a fridge under the front row to enjoy cool drinks at all times and there is a power point to recharge camera batteries during the safari.<\/li>
            • There is no separation between the driver who is the guide and his passengers. Therefore, a constant flow of communication to get the greatest experience in these wild environments and learn as much as possible about the places, fauna and flora.<\/li><\/ul>

              SEMI-PARTICIPATION CAMPING<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>

              For the Semi-participation safaris, guests are only required to set up and pack their tents and help out getting their luggage in and out the trailers. All cooking, cleaning and any other camp chores are taken care of by the Okavango exploration safaris team made up of one guide, one camp assistant, and on selected departures one interpreter.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

                Note:\u00a0we mostly camp in wild areas<\/strong>, parks and game reserves that are completely wild and unfenced with\u00a0no facilities or equipment<\/strong>, our teams set up a full camp including:<\/p>

                • a mobile kitchen and dining area.<\/li><\/ul>

                  Guests need to\u00a0provide their own drinks<\/strong>. Tea and coffee complimentary while at camp.<\/p>

                    We offer two different exciting itineraries. These lodge-to-lodge mobile safari itineraries are 3-star standing and offer a lot of activities. Transportation between lodges is done in a comfortable, air-conditioned minibus and parts of it in an open game drive vehicle, depending on the itinerary. The activities are carried out in the various lodges where we are staying using our game drive vehicles, except boats and mokoro (traditional dugout canoes).<\/p>
